I met her a few times at Accents Studio a jewelry store at 611 N State St. in Tree Studios. I was fortunate to buy several art pieces. Hands on a Keyboard, yellow flowers on foam core. And a lady picture. . She needed to support herself.

Michael Bonesteel says well why Darger created this unique art : " It was Henry Darger's search for the Grail, his search for God, his search for himself...".

this is bullshit there putting words in vivian maier month unless she told them what she was thinking or wrote it down there putting words in her mouth and meaning to her art that might not have anything to with the art but she not here to talk for her self this just another case of people making money off someones art so they make up this story and the meaning behind her work when in truth vivian maier was the only person who know about her art

22:58 One adjective to describe her is curious, as in very curious about the world, curious about how people and things look. When she could afford it, she paid for a big trip to see the world. When she couldn't afford it, she was still deeply curious about the world near her. Her pictures are definitely made, not taken. They are keenly observed and well composed, not casual. They appear to be a deliberate life-long art project, the result of passion and dedication, and a good deal of her resources.

It's like me I shoot 7 days week and if I shoot under 100 in my few hours in street I am a little disappointed. It's a complusion to create art or something of significance to fill your need or void. I understand her so much. In her camera could she veiw what she shot? I remember in 1982 my first camera a Canon. I went everywhere shooting images mostly in the street.

I knew Gregory Warmack, a.k.a. Mr I. while he was in Bethlehem, Pa. I still have a piece he made me from his tin roof of his home, before the fire destroyed everything. R.I.P. Mr I.

Great show of a great person! I was blessed to have known Mr. Imagination for about 6 years in the early 80's in Chicago. He made a sandstone piece for my parents. He was such a kind, caring and loving person. That was his best art... who he was!
